Our UK office (WLG UK Ltd) wil advise all regular delivrers of cargo of the new details. However it is also essential that Bermuda based importers advise their UK suppliers of the new address. They should also remind UK suppliers that it is required that they make a booking with WLG UK Ltd. in advance for deliveries into both our UK receiving depots at our headquarters in Manchester and our contract satellite receiving depot at Feltham, Slough (near London). This is especially important for London.

New Less Than ContainerLoad (LCL) Stripping Facility:
We will open our own Customs Guaranteed Local Inland Clearance Facility (LIC) at Mills Creek, for the stripping and distribution of LCL cargo for all vessels arriving from 17th December, 2007 onwards.
Under this plan, containers filled with LCL-type mixed cargo will no longer be stripped at Number 7 Shed at the Port Of Hamilton. Instead, they will be hauled by our own trucks to our Canal Warehouse at Mills Creek. Stripping will commence within one or two working days of arrival of the vessel and be completed within 5 working days. Subject to successful Customs' clearance, cargo will be available for delivery or collection immediately following stripping, usually, therefore, within a week or less of arrival.
Our customers will be able to continue to have us clear and deliver their shipments or clear and/or collect these themselves from the Canal Yard. For delivery customers, we will maintain a constant delivery service throughout the island as containers are stripped, ensuring the fastest possible delivery times. Customers collecting themselves or using contract carriers should call ahead before entering the Customs Area on 292-4600 and ask for "New Stripping Warehouse". This will authorize entry to the yard and will secure an available loading dock. Cargo will usually be waiting on the loading dock minimising waiting time. Because containers will be stripped each morning, collections will usually be available afternoons.
Further updates will be posted on this site. Meanwhile for
any further questions please call Nick Kempe on 292 4600 extn 217, Camilla MacPherson extn 227 or Willie Forbes extn. 224.
