HM Customs CAPS Clearance & Release Of LCL Ocean Cargo.
The clearance and collection of less than container load (LCL) ocean shipments from Bermuda Forwarders' new Local Inland Clearance Facilty (LIC) permits customers to receive their shipments within the working week of arrival in Bermuda. This is a two stage process: Customs clearance and stripping of the container concerned. Both of these must have taken place before cargo may be released.
Bermuda Forwarders offers competitive Customs clearance and delivery of cargo to customers all over the lisland.
For those customers who prefer to clear their own shipments,their CAP's Release from Customs must be e-mailed by them to customs@bermudaforwarders.com. Printed copies are not permitted.
Freight can only be released frm the LIC once the container has been stripped AND the CAPS Release has benn received electronically by Bermuda Forwarders.
A Stripping Advice is emailed by the LIC manager to all customers as soon as their shipment has been stripped out of the arriving container. However the shipment may obkly be released after the CAPS Release has been electronically received by Bermuda Forwarders.

Copex Air, our air freight agent for shipments originating in Continental Europe (not UK or Ireland) have changed their name to TRANSMARCOM. Otherwise all details are the same. ALl coordination is still carried out by their sister company, COPEX MARITIME BV, Rotterdam.
